Bougainvillea sits on the shores of the Victoria Lake, less than an hour’s drive from Kandy.

Transfers to and from Colombo (or the international airport just north of it) are easily arranged - journey times varying between 3-4 hours.

The seaplane managed by Cinnamon Air, lands on the lake a short Tuk Tuk ride from Bougainvillea.

Train rides from Kandy to Ella are popular and easily made from Bougainvillea which can be reached in around 45 minutes by car.
